Part-time speech and language therapist/special educational needs teacher

Position: Part-time speech and language therapist

Work location: International School of Budapest
Hours: 6–8 hours per week (afternoon hours between 12:00 and 16:00)
Start date: Immediate

About us
The International School of Budapest (ISB) is an inclusive and supportive educational community committed to fostering the development, self-confidence and communication skills of primary school students. We are currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Hungarian speech and language therapist to join our team and support children with speech, language and communication difficulties.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Conducting Hungarian speech and language screenings for kindergarten and first grade students.
  • Identifying, documenting and addressing speech, language and communication difficulties.
  • Providing individual or small-group speech and language therapy as needed.
  • Collaborating with teachers and parents to support students’ development.
  • Recommending further specialised evaluations or the involvement of external specialists as required.
  • Properly documenting the results of screenings and interventions.

Expectations and requirements:

  • Degree in Hungarian speech and language therapy.
  • Experience of working with children, preferably in a school setting.
  • English language skills and the ability to work in English are essential.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • A child-centred, supportive and collaborative attitude.
